Tips and Tricks 3D Laser Etched Crystal Photo Canada

You've got the perfect photo and crystal shape, now what?

Here at Crystal Life Designs we take pride in giving the customer a chance to put their heart and soul into a crystal and have fun while doing it. 

Here are a few tips and tricks in the design process:

1) Can't think of the right words to say?

Let google help you. For example try searching these terms: "family quotes png", "friends quotes png", "love quotes png", "dog quotes png" (a png is a image file type like jpeg).

After you've found just the right saying save that image and upload it to us in the "Optional Files" section in the checkout page. You can also take note of the quote and tell us about it in the "Special Instructions" section in the checkout page and we'll take care of it for you.

2) Want to add a 2D image or a 3D model to the crystal?

Add in a flower, butterfly, drum set or anything else you can think of that would really customize your piece, its easy.  

For example, to add a image of a 2D butterfly to a crystal, let google do the work. Search "butterfly png" and save the image you like.  You can upload it in the "Optional Files" section during checkout page. You can also take note of the image and tell us about it in the "Special Instructions" section of our checkout page and we'll take care of it for you.

The same process applies for a 3D model but instead of using google, go to websites where you can find free (or pay) models to upload to us. www.turbosquid.com , https://www.thingiverse.com are a couple 3D models sites to choose from.

We also have a large bank of free models so feel free to ask us first. (only .obj  file format will work).

3) Have the right words to say, pick the right font....

Picking a font is easy, go to the website www.dafont.com, type in a category for example "love" and all kinds of special fonts come up.  After you've found just the right font save that font file and upload it to us in the "Optional Files" section in the checkout page. You can also take note of the font file and tell us about it in the "Special Instructions" section of the checkout page and we'll take care of it for you.
